Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production FFB Sustainability is a key objective in battery cell research and development. Batteries are a crucial technology for the energy and transportation transitions and therefore, for significant for protecting and sustaining our environment.
On order to secure efficiency and sustainability along the battery circular economy, the the EU Battery Regulation – a cornerstone of the European Green Deal – establishes a framework to set the course for a sustainable future in energy storage. The regulations promote the circular economy and resource efficiency and are intended to improve the life cycle of batteries with regard to climate neutrality and environmental protection.
