The European Battery Cell Learning Laboratory ELLB is the umbrella organization for all further training courses offered by the Fraunhofer FFB: For companies as well as for individuals. We see ourselves as a vibrant community with a wide range of innovative upskilling and reskilling offers on the subject of batteries, which contributes to actively shaping and advancing qualification in the battery sector in Europe.

Our training courses

With our comprehensive range of 15 further training courses and customized in-house training for companies, we cover not only basic knowledge but also subjects such as the market, manufacturing processes, cells, systems, digitalization, and sustainability. The seminars have been developed to enable participants to progress from beginner level with no prior knowledge to expert level. Those who already have prior knowledge can start directly with the advanced seminars. For the best learning success, the latest research knowledge is conveyed in an informative way and brought closer to the participants through hands-on methods and an interactive learning environment. Questions and active exchange with the trainers and other participants are very welcome. This comprehensive and practice-oriented training program optimally prepares you to successfully master the challenges of modern battery technology.

This not only promotes an effective learning experience through active and exploratory learning, but also enhances the practical skills of the participants. The rapid upscaling of battery cell production in Europe offers numerous growth opportunities, but also leads to major skills gaps: By 2030, several hundred thousand battery experts will be needed along the entire value chain.

 

With suitable training and further education opportunities for specialists and managers, we offer both private individuals and companies the chance to benefit from this rapid growth. The possibilities are many and varied: whether retraining employees from other areas of technology (for example, from the combustion engine sector) or providing employees with in-depth qualifications in areas such as digitalization (for example, automation of production processes) - they all contribute to sustainable competitiveness in the battery market.
