Transparent Remuneration – Collective Agreements and Guidelines

The collective agreements for the public sector regulate working conditions and remuneration for employees in public service. Different agreements apply depending on the type of employment.

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. applies the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD Bund) for permanent positions, the agreement for trainees in the public sector (TVAöD) for training contracts, and the collective agreement of the federal states (TV-L) for student and research assistants.

By adhering to these agreements, Fraunhofer ensures transparent and competitive remuneration.

Further details about the collective agreements mentioned above can be found later on this page. If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our HR team.

TVöD

The TVöD governs aspects such as working hours, vacation entitlements, pay groups, and other employment conditions. It is regularly updated through collective bargaining between unions and public sector employers to reflect employee needs and the federal government's financial framework. A key component is the annual special payment, which supplements regular pay and serves as additional recognition of employee contributions.

For detailed information on current updates to the TVöD regulations and specific pay groups, please visit the official website of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.
